Room-Specific Size Recommendations
Living Room
At least the front two legs of your seating group should rest on the living room rug. Having the entire seating group on the rug provides the most luxurious look. For a 3+3+1 sofa set, a 200x290 or 240x340 cm rug is ideal.
Bedroom
There are three arrangement options:
- Completely under the bed: A rug extending 60-80 cm on all sides of the bed.
- 2/3 under the bed: Under the bed, excluding nightstands.
- Two side runners: Two separate 80x200 cm rugs on either side of the bed.
Dining Room
The rug should be wide enough so that when chairs are pulled out from the table, their legs remain on the rug. General rule: it should extend at least 60 cm from all sides of the table.
Corridor
Choose a runner wide enough to leave 10-15 cm of space on both sides of the corridor. For length, it's more aesthetically pleasing if it's 20-30 cm shorter than the corridor at both ends.
