How to clean HALINET rugs?

It depends on the rug type. Washable rugs can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven rugs should be cleaned by a professional rug washing service. Vintage and handwoven rugs should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which rug suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton rugs in bedrooms, washable rugs in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip rugs in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right rug size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free shipping outside Turkey. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The rug must be unused and in its original packaging.

1m2 Rugs

3,699 styles

Among rug sizes, 1 m² is often misunderstood. You might envision a sizable piece when adding it to your cart, but in reality, this measurement represents a small surface designed to do one job very well. This collection of 4,042 models is curated specifically for that single purpose.

How many centimeters is a 1 m² rug?

A square meter is not a measurement itself, but the product of two sides; therefore, the same 1 m² can be distributed into several different shapes. A 100x100 cm rug is exactly 1.00 m² and provides a square surface. An 80x120 cm rug is 0.96 m²; practically, it's considered 1 m² but, being rectangular, it looks more natural in front of a door. The difference is small in centimeters but significant in placement. If you want to compare side lengths with the actual space in your room, our rug size calculator will do the multiplication for you.

Where should this size rug be placed?

Entryways and in front of doors, narrow strips where shoes are removed
In front of sinks and at bathroom exits
The standing area in front of kitchen counters
Beside a single bed, where feet land

The common thread among these spots is that none of them are associated with furniture. A 1 m² rug won't anchor a sofa set or support a table; it simply softens the area where your feet touch. If you're looking for a floor covering to fill an entire room, the right place to start is with 5 m² rugs.

Will a 1 m² rug slip?

This is the most common issue with small rugs: because they are lightweight, they can be pushed around by foot traffic on hardwood and tile floors. In high-traffic areas like doorways and bathroom exits, a thin non-slip pad or double-sided rug tape will completely solve the problem. Other care details can be found on our rug care guide page.

Can a 1 m² rug be used as a doormat?

It can be used, but they are not the same thing. Doormats are designed to trap mud from outside; the models here are predominantly machine-woven with polyester and polypropylene yarns, meaning they are made for indoor comfort. They won't fully replace a doormat in a wet entryway.

Is it practical to buy more than one of this size?

A frequently chosen method is to buy two of the same design and place them symmetrically on either side of a bed. If you're undecided, you have 14 days for unconditional returns, products come with a 12-month manufacturer warranty, and orders ship within 1 business day and are delivered in 3-5 business days.
