How are Halınet carpets cleaned?

It depends on the carpet type. Washable carpets can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven carpets should be cleaned by a professional carpet washing service. Vintage and handwoven carpets should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which carpet suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton carpets in bedrooms, washable carpets in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip carpets in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right carpet size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The carpet must be unused and in its original packaging.

12 sqm Rugs

3,202 styles

At 12 m² (approximately 129 sq ft), this is a large rug size, close to the upper limit for home use. A 300x400 cm (10x13 ft) rug is exactly 12.00 m², while a 250x480 cm (8x16 ft) rug covers the same area in a much longer format. Most people considering this size are asking two questions: is it enough, and can I manage it?

One 12 m² rug, or two separate rugs?

Covering a large living room with two medium-sized rugs might seem flexible at first glance. In practice, the seam between the two pieces never truly disappears, the rugs can shift in different directions, and the edges tend to lift with every vacuuming pass. A single 12 m² rug avoids all three of these issues. However, it lacks flexibility: if it doesn't fit in a new home after you move, there's little you can do. The single piece itself also comes in two forms. A 300x400 cm rug is closer to a square and fits well in a balanced room; a 250x480 cm rug allows the rug to flow parallel to the wall in long, narrow rooms. The orientation of your room will largely determine this choice. Before choosing from 3,605 models, clarify your room's actual dimensions with our rug size calculator.

The reality of cleaning a 12 m² rug

A rug of this size cannot be lifted when wet. This means spot cleaning for stains is done with the rug in place; general washing is a professional service that requires removing the rug from your home. Before purchasing, check if your home's exit, elevator, or stairwell can accommodate a 300 cm (10 ft) roll. For daily care methods, refer to our rug care guide.

Is a non-slip pad needed under this size?

A 12 m² rug is unlikely to slip much due to its weight, but edges can curl over time on hardwood or tile floors. A thin pad will prevent curling and reduce footfall noise.

Is 12 m² too much?

If your room's width is less than 3.5 meters (11.5 ft), it's likely too much; the rug might press against the walls and overwhelm the room. In such a living room, 8 m² rugs would create a more balanced look.

How is it shipped?

These machine-woven rugs, primarily made from polyester and polypropylene yarns, are shipped rolled within 1-3 business days. The 14-day unconditional return policy and 12-month manufacturer warranty also apply to this size.
