How to clean HALINET rugs?

It depends on the rug type. Washable rugs can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven rugs should be cleaned by a professional rug washing service. Vintage and handwoven rugs should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which rug suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton rugs in bedrooms, washable rugs in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip rugs in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right rug size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free international shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days. The rug must be unused and in its original packaging.

2.5m2 Rugs

713 styles

2.5 m² is a threshold that many people overlook when shopping for rugs: it's the largest size you can lift and hang on a balcony by yourself, or fold and carry from one room to another. Once you go beyond this size, a rug starts to behave less like a textile product and more like furniture.

The largest size you can carry by yourself

125x200 cm is exactly 2.50 m²; 140x180 cm is 2.52 m², bringing a similar surface area closer to a square shape. A machine-woven rug of this size folds down to the volume of a sofa cushion. You won't need to call anyone to shake it out, vacuum underneath it, or take it outside for spring cleaning; moving it through a doorway or lifting it onto a cabinet is also not a problem. This practicality is one of the reasons why this group of 802 models is so popular.

For rental homes and single-room living

A large rug is risky in a home where you might move; it might not fit the dimensions of a new house. However, a 2.5 m² rug finds a place in almost any room, and if you don't like where it is, moving it takes only a few minutes:

A reading nook in front of a single armchair or accent chair
The area under and in front of a desk
Around a coffee table in a small living room

If your room makes this size look small, you can increase the same arrangement by one level with 3.68 m² rugs. To visualize how the size fits the room beforehand, use our rug size calculator page.

Can two be used in the same room?

Yes, but don't place two rugs side by side; a line will appear between them, and the pieces will shift. If there are two separate functions in the same room, such as a reading nook and a desk, place them separately with some floor visible between them.

Can a 2.5 m² rug be machine washed?

Although the size seems convenient, the determining factors are the machine's capacity and the rug's thickness; a wet rug will weigh much more than its dry weight. The correct approach is to follow the product's own washing instructions; for general methods, refer to our rug care guide page.

Is this size sufficient for the center of a living room?

In a standard living room, it will be too small on its own. It creates a focal point under a coffee table but won't unify the seating arrangement. If you change your mind, you have a 14-day unconditional return policy and a 12-month manufacturer's warranty; orders ship within 1 business day and are delivered in 3-5 business days.
