How to clean HALINET rugs?

It depends on the rug type. Washable rugs can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven rugs should be cleaned by a professional rug washing service. Vintage and handwoven rugs should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which rug suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton rugs in bedrooms, washable rugs in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip rugs in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right rug size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free international shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days. The rug must be unused and in its original packaging.

Retro Rugs

772 styles

The palette of a retro rug is no accident. Mustard, avocado green, burnt orange, cinnamon, and cream—these tones emerged in the 1960s and 70s not as a design whim, but as a result of the dyes and printing capabilities available at the time. Today, 816 retro models echo the visual language of that era.

The Palette: A Constraint of the Era, Not a Choice

The dyes available in those years were limited, and printing techniques yielded more consistent results with specific tones. The resulting mustard-orange-avocado trio eventually became the signature of the period. Today, a rug doesn't need to be old to be considered retro; it just needs to carry this palette and the large, curvilinear forms of those years. Retro, then, is not an age, but a quotation.

Retro, Bohemian, and Distressed: Three Distinct Ideas of Time

All three look to the past, but in different ways. Retro has a singular, defined historical source. Bohemian rugs have no single source; the mix itself is essential. Distressed rugs, on the other hand, mimic not an era, but time itself: they feature fading and wear effects on the surface. If you're looking for an aged appearance, distressed is the right choice; if it's the style of those years, retro is your page.

Best Placed in a Modern Room

When you place a retro rug among retro furniture, the room turns into a set design, and the rug goes unnoticed. In a simple, contemporary room, however, it stands as the sole period quotation, doing its real job there. By the same logic, keeping the colors calm next to the rug preserves the vibrancy of the palette.

Which colors pair with a retro palette?

Muted tones like off-white, light gray, and cream carry the mustard and orange. Adding a second saturated color overloads the palette and diminishes the period feel. If you prefer a warmer environment, the brown side works seamlessly with a retro palette.
