Rectangular Rugs

Rectangular rugs are the default shape, and this collection lists 19,000+ models. With such a vast selection, the real question isn't which rug, but which aspect ratio. Rectangular rugs fall into a few aspect ratio families; choosing the right family will naturally narrow down the list. When faced with a large list, the fastest way is to fix the ratio and eliminate the rest, rather than browsing products one by one.

Aspect Ratio Families

The three families below cover most of the sizes in the collection; knowing which one you belong to makes the list instantly usable.

• Classic Ratio, approximately 1:1.5. Sizes like 120x180 cm and 160x230 cm. The most common family, perfect for anchoring a seating arrangement or a bed.
• Long Ratio, approximately 1:2. Sizes like 100x200 cm. Ideal for narrow living rooms, in front of kitchen counters, beside beds, or under a single armchair.
• Extra Long, 1:3 and above. This ratio is more about runners than rugs; the place to look is the hallway runners collection.

First, Measure Your Room's Aspect Ratio

If a room has a roughly 1:2 aspect ratio, a nearly square rug, no matter how large, won't speak the same language as the space; the empty spaces at both ends will make the room look disjointed. The reverse is also true: if you place a very long rug in a square room, the rug will read like a pathway. Measure your room's width and length to find its ratio, then filter for models with a similar ratio. The rug size calculator combines these two steps on a single screen.

Should I ask which size is most popular?

There's no need to ask. A popular size doesn't know your room's ratio; in a crowded list, your own measurements are the only reliable filter.

Can two rectangular rugs be placed in the same room?

Yes, but the aspect ratios of the two rugs should be similar; otherwise, the eye will perceive them as two separate spaces. Typically, one anchors the main seating area, while the other covers a transition area or bedside.

How are the products made, and how does delivery work?

The majority of the collection is machine-woven with polyester and polypropylene yarn. Orders are shipped within 1 business day and delivered in 3-5 business days; 14-day unconditional returns and a 12-month manufacturer's warranty apply. Maintenance details can be found on the rug care guide page.
