How are Halınet carpets cleaned?

It depends on the carpet type. Washable carpets can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven carpets should be cleaned by a professional carpet washing service. Vintage and handwoven carpets should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which carpet suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton carpets in bedrooms, washable carpets in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip carpets in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right carpet size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The carpet must be unused and in its original packaging.

Scandinavian Carpets

1,066 styles

Scandinavian rugs fall under the modern category but adhere to a narrower definition. The difference isn't an addition, but a subtraction: colors are reduced, contrast is lowered, and motifs are sparse. In this collection of 1,093 products, what remains when you look at a rug is generally a single background and a single accent. That's why searching directly for Scandinavian rugs yields faster results than browsing the broader modern list.

Typical Characteristics of This Collection

Off-white, light gray, or pale beige background
A single accent color; often pale blue or soft green
Few and sparsely placed motifs
A matte surface finish instead of a glossy one
A simple design with plain edges rather than a border

Minimal Color, Single Accent

A typical Scandinavian surface is built upon a light background and a single accent: a gray line on off-white, a pale blue on light beige. Colors are muted, not saturated; even when dark tones are used, they appear in fine lines rather than large areas. This is why the rugs in this collection appear almost like a solid background from a distance. If you want to take this simplicity a step further, the minimalist collection is the next stop; for a wider selection, you can return to the main modern rugs category.

Material Feel vs. The Material Itself

This style typically evokes a matte, slightly fuzzy, warm surface. Most of the rugs here are machine-woven and produced from polypropylene and polyester yarns; meaning the expected feel is met with different materials on the production side. If you're looking for genuine wool, wool rugs are a separate collection, and it would be more accurate to look there directly.

Rugs for Minimally Furnished Rooms

This style is most preferred in simply furnished, bright rooms; especially bedrooms, study nooks, and small living areas. Since light backgrounds show dirt more quickly, it's wise to plan cleaning frequency from the start; using a doormat near the entrance also makes things easier. Using multiple small pieces also suits this style better than one large rug. Detailed recommendations can be found in the care and cleaning guide.
