How are Halınet carpets cleaned?

It depends on the carpet type. Washable carpets can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven carpets should be cleaned by a professional carpet washing service. Vintage and handwoven carpets should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which carpet suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton carpets in bedrooms, washable carpets in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip carpets in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right carpet size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The carpet must be unused and in its original packaging.

Plum

472 styles

Most people looking for a dark rug gravitate towards charcoal and black, often for practicality rather than color preference. Plum offers a similar solution but provides a warm, rather than cool, dark tone. With 499 models, it's a focused collection that directly answers the need for a dark rug that isn't black.

Plum instead of black or charcoal

Charcoal is part of the gray family; in rooms with low light, it can appear dull and stark. Plum, with its dark plum tone, contains hints of red and brown, which is why it doesn't cool down a room despite its similar darkness. In a setting with gray walls and gray furniture, a charcoal rug can make the space feel monotonous, whereas plum adds warmth without compromising the dark aesthetic. If you'd like to see both options side-by-side, our charcoal collection is a great place to start for comparison.

Plum is not purple

While its name might suggest a purplish hue, plum doesn't lean towards blue; it's on the red-brown side and is closer to burgundy than most purples. If you're truly looking for a blue-based purple, our purple collection is the right place. If you prefer a darker, more reddish wine-toned color, you should explore the burgundy options. Plum sits between these two, on the plum side.

What's the difference between plum and burgundy?

Burgundy is dominated by wine and brown tones; plum has a higher proportion of purple, which makes it appear more subdued in dim light. The difference is immediately apparent when placed side-by-side, but when viewed alone, both are perceived as dark and warm.

Is 499 models a small collection?

Yes, it's one of the smaller collections on the site. Therefore, clarifying the size you need upfront will help you use the list efficiently; our size calculator will show you the appropriate range for your room.

Are dust particles more visible on dark rugs?

Light-colored dust, lint, and fiber pieces are more visible on dark surfaces; however, everyday stains are noticed later. Regular vacuuming helps maintain this balance; steps are outlined in our care guide. All products, including dark-toned ones, are machine-woven and primarily made of polypropylene and polyester; they come with a 14-day unconditional return policy and a 12-month manufacturer's warranty, with shipping in 1-3 business days.
