How are Halınet carpets cleaned?

It depends on the carpet type. Washable carpets can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven carpets should be cleaned by a professional carpet washing service. Vintage and handwoven carpets should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which carpet suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton carpets in bedrooms, washable carpets in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip carpets in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right carpet size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The carpet must be unused and in its original packaging.

5m2 Rugs

5,921 styles

5 m² rugs are our most popular size group on this site, with 6,015 models. The reason is simple: this is where the first significant rug size begins, typically covering the area in front of a seating arrangement in a standard Turkish living room. However, the same 5 m² is distributed across two different shapes, and the choice is actually made there. Even if the surface area remains the same, the rug's presence in the room changes completely.

Should sofa legs rest on the rug?

This is a placement question as crucial as the size itself, and it has three valid answers:

All legs off: The rug sits like an independent island under the coffee table. This makes smaller rooms feel more spacious.
Only front legs on: The sofa set and the rug are perceived as a single unit. This is the most effective use of a 5 m² rug.
All legs on: This creates the most grounded look, but 5 m² is often not enough for this in most living rooms.

There's a simple way to figure out which applies to you: measure the distance between the front leg of your sofa and the edge of your coffee table. If this distance is less than 60 cm, the front legs will comfortably rest on the rug; if it's more, the rug will remain an island under the coffee table.

200x250 or 180x280?

200x250 cm is exactly 5.00 m², while 180x280 cm is 5.04 m²; the surface area is almost identical, but the look is entirely different. A 200x250 rug is closer to a square and centers the seating arrangement. A 180x280 rug is longer and flows parallel to the wall in a lengthwise living room. Decide by looking at which direction your room extends; instead of putting numbers on paper, you can experiment with our rug size calculator.

Will marks be left if the front legs rest on the rug?

On machine-woven polypropylene and polyester rugs, leg marks may become noticeable over time; shifting the sofa a few centimeters a few times a year will help distribute the impression. Products are shipped with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty.

How do I send a 5 m² rug for cleaning?

This size can still be folded by two people and fit in a car, so transporting it for professional cleaning won't be an issue. Spot cleaning methods that can be done at home are collectively explained on our rug care guide page.

Should I get a 6 m² instead of a 5 m²?

If the front legs of your sofa set don't touch the rug at all, you might need to go up one size; to compare, switch to the 6 m² rugs group. If you're undecided, you have a 14-day unconditional return policy, and shipping typically takes 1-3 business days.
