How are Halınet carpets cleaned?

It depends on the carpet type. Washable carpets can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven carpets should be cleaned by a professional carpet washing service. Vintage and handwoven carpets should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which carpet suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton carpets in bedrooms, washable carpets in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip carpets in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right carpet size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The carpet must be unused and in its original packaging.

8m2 Rugs

3,473 styles

At 8 m² (approximately 86 sq ft), a rug acts less like a textile and more like a piece of furniture. Sizes like 250x320 cm (8'2"x10'6") and 200x400 cm (6'7"x13'1") are exactly 8.00 m², and a rolled rug of this size often won't fit vertically through most home doorways. Choosing the size is half the battle; getting the rug into the room is the other half. This is the second most important consideration, after size, for the 3,542 models in this group.

How to get an 8 m² rug into your home:

The rolled length is between 250-320 cm (8'2"-10'6"); it won't fit horizontally in an elevator and usually needs to be carried up the stairwell.
Do not unroll it outside your door. It's difficult to re-roll a rug that's been opened in a narrow hallway; carry the roll to the room where it will be laid.
Unrolling is a two-person job: one person holds the roll steady, the other pushes. If unrolled alone, the rug can slide due to its own weight.
Move furniture first, lay the rug, then put the furniture back on top. Trying to slide the rug under furniture can damage the edges.

The first week: crease marks

Rugs of this size arrive rolled or folded, and crease lines will be visible when unrolled. For machine-woven rugs, primarily made from polypropylene and polyester yarns, these marks will relax and disappear within a few days due to the rug's own weight and room temperature. If you're in a hurry, briefly folding it in the opposite direction of the crease can speed up the process. This is not a permanent defect; however, the product comes with a 12-month manufacturer warranty and you have a 14-day unconditional return right.

What to do if the edges curl?

For large rugs, edge curling is mostly tension remaining from the rolling direction. Placing a heavy object on the curled corner for a few days is usually enough; if it's persistent, a thin rug pad can help stabilize the edge. Other methods can be found on our rug care guide page.

Can two smaller rugs replace an 8 m² rug?

Yes, but the result will be different: a line will always be visible between the two pieces, and they may shift apart over time. If you're looking for a single piece, the next size up is in the 12 m² rugs group, and the next size down is in the 6 m² rugs group.

Is this size sufficient for an open-plan living room?

It's enough for the seating area. If the dining table will also be on the same rug, you'll need to calculate the surface area beforehand; our rug size calculator makes it easy to account for the table's footprint. Orders are shipped within 1-3 business days.
