How are Halınet carpets cleaned?

It depends on the carpet type. Washable carpets can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven carpets should be cleaned by a professional carpet washing service. Vintage and handwoven carpets should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which carpet suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton carpets in bedrooms, washable carpets in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip carpets in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right carpet size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The carpet must be unused and in its original packaging.

Among synthetics, acrylic fiber most closely resembles wool. It’s soft to the touch, has a full volume, and vibrant dye retention; from a distance, many acrylic rugs are mistaken for wool. The fiber is produced by twisting it to mimic wool’s natural crimp, which largely gives it its volume. Our catalog features 2,792 acrylic models.

The Fiber for Sun-Drenched Rooms

Acrylic’s most significant advantage is its resistance to ultraviolet light. In living rooms that receive direct sunlight all day, the color difference between the window-side area and the shaded area appears much more slowly with acrylic. If you’re describing a south-facing room with large, curtainless windows, this alone can be a decisive factor.

Where Does the Color Vibrancy Come From?

In acrylic, dye is often not applied to the fiber’s surface afterward; it’s mixed into the fiber’s mass as it’s formed. The color being within the fiber means that as the surface wears, a faded layer won’t emerge from underneath. This is why saturated blues, emerald greens, and wine tones look more convincing in acrylic than in other synthetics.

What Does It Mimic in Wool, and What Can’t It?

Acrylic captures wool’s appearance and feel; however, it cannot replicate its moisture-balancing and natural dirt-repelling properties. While wool absorbs and releases moisture in a room, acrylic remains neutral, and static electricity may be more noticeable in dry air. If you wish to compare the two fibers side-by-side, our wool collection is the right reference.

Weaknesses: Friction and Heat

Acrylic fiber can pill over time in narrow passages exposed to intense friction. It is also sensitive to heat; a hot iron, proximity to a stove, or high-temperature washing can harden the fiber surface. For high-traffic areas like entryways, the polyester group is a more durable option. One more warning: acrylic should not be rubbed when wet; wet brushing can disrupt the surface and leave a permanent mark. Blotting is sufficient for spot cleaning. All steps are detailed in our rug care guide. Orders ship within 1-3 business days.

Do acrylic rugs cause allergies?

The fiber itself is not an allergen; most complaints stem from dust trapped in the rug, and regular vacuuming significantly reduces this.

How long do acrylic rugs last?

It’s not accurate to give an exact lifespan as it depends on usage intensity. What determines it is less the fiber type and more where the rug is placed: a model that shows wear in a hallway after a few years will retain its original condition much longer in a bedroom. Products come with a 12-month manufacturer warranty.

Do acrylic rugs provide warmth like wool?

Not exactly; the volume is similar, but the insulation is not. If the composition includes a wool-acrylic blend, the feel will be somewhere in between, and you can see the ratio on the product page.
