How are Halınet carpets cleaned?

It depends on the carpet type. Washable carpets can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven carpets should be cleaned by a professional carpet washing service. Vintage and handwoven carpets should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which carpet suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton carpets in bedrooms, washable carpets in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip carpets in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right carpet size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The carpet must be unused and in its original packaging.

Oval Rug Models

3,523 styles

An oval rug appears soft because it lacks corners, but its main characteristic lies elsewhere: it has a direction. The room is perceived to extend in the direction of the rug's long axis. Therefore, choosing an oval rug is more a decision about placement than color.

The second practical benefit of the corner-free shape emerges in transition areas: chair legs, vacuum cleaners, and strollers won't snag on a corner, and the rug's edge is less prone to curling.

Oval and Round Are Not the Same

Both are corner-free, and neither snags in narrow passages. The difference is in direction: a round rug is directionless, drawing focus to its center; an oval rug is a two-ended form, guiding the eye and movement along its long axis. If you have a long dining table, a living room opening into a hallway, or a bedroom where the foot of the bed faces one direction, an oval is the right answer. If your seating arrangement gathers around a single center, look towards round rugs.

Which Way Should the Long Axis Face?

The placement of an oval rug boils down to a single question: which way should the long axis point?

Parallel to the room's longest wall: the space feels more open, and the flow is easier to read.
Towards the interior from the door: it invites the person entering into the room, preferred in transition areas.
Relative to the table: under an oval table, the rug's axis should align with the table's axis; otherwise, the two forms will compete.

Frequently Asked Questions About Oval Rugs

What size oval rug should I get?

Oval sizes are given as width and length, like rectangles, but the selection is made based on the long axis. The most practical way is to determine which way your room extends and compare it with our rug size calculator.

Does an oval rug need a non-slip pad?

Corner-free shapes can rotate more easily when kicked. We recommend using a non-slip pad if it will be placed in a transition area.

How many models are in the collection?

Currently, 3,565 oval models are listed, predominantly machine-woven with polyester and polypropylene yarn. Shipping is 1-3 business days, with 14-day unconditional returns and a 12-month manufacturer's warranty. For washing and stain information, please refer to our rug care guide page.
