How are Halınet carpets cleaned?

It depends on the carpet type. Washable carpets can be machine washed on a low spin cycle. Traditionally woven carpets should be cleaned by a professional carpet washing service. Vintage and handwoven carpets should be wiped with a damp cloth and never washed in water.

Which carpet suits which room?

Classic or modern patterns work well in living rooms, soft chenille/cotton carpets in bedrooms, washable carpets in kids' rooms, and washable non-slip carpets in kitchens. For hallways, long narrow runner styles are recommended.

How do I choose the right carpet size?

Standard sizes based on room dimensions: 80×150 cm (small), 120×180 cm (medium), 160×230 cm (large), 200×290 cm (living room), 240×340 cm (large living room). Add about 30 cm of margin around the area your furniture will sit on.

How do shipping and returns work?

Free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 1 business day after confirmation and are delivered within 3-5 business days. You can return within 14 days for any reason, no questions asked. The carpet must be unused and in its original packaging.

Cotton Rug Models

15,424 styles

Cotton is the most familiar fiber in rugs: it’s the fabric we wear, now on the floor. The fiber body is hollow and naturally crimped; this structure retains both air and moisture. This is why cotton rugs feel cool but not hard underfoot, and soft but not loose. The 15,527 cotton models in our catalog show how widely this comfort is sought after.

The cost of absorbency: the first-minute rule

Cotton’s comfort and weakness stem from the same property. Spilled liquid doesn't sit on the surface; it's drawn directly into the fiber. Therefore, with cotton rugs, it's not the cleaning product that's crucial, but time. A tea stain absorbed with a dry cloth within the first minute is a completely different task than the same stain noticed half an hour later. You should blot and absorb, not rub; rubbing fluffs the fibers and expands the stain's boundary.

For the same reason, the ideal spot for a cotton rug is not in front of the kitchen counter or under the dining table. It thrives best in areas with low liquid traffic, such as bedrooms, in front of seating areas, and study nooks.

An honest warning about sunlight

Dark-colored cotton rugs may fade over time if placed in front of a window that receives direct sunlight all day. This is not a manufacturing defect but a known characteristic of natural fibers. If you're talking about a curtain-less, sun-drenched room, acrylic models, which have higher color stability, would be a safer choice.

Cotton or wool?

These two natural fibers are constantly compared. The rough distinction is this: cotton absorbs moisture, while wool balances moisture and, thanks to its natural oils on the surface, repels dirt for a while. In contrast, cotton is lighter, thinner, and much more common in machine-washable models. If you want to compare, wool rug models are a good reference point.

Are all cotton rugs machine washable?

No. Washability depends on the weave and backing structure, not just the fiber; the washing instructions on the product page are binding. If it doesn't meet your expectations, you have a 14-day unconditional return right.

Do cotton rugs keep you cool in summer?

Generally, yes. Since the fiber absorbs and releases moisture, it doesn't leave a wet feeling on the skin. In winter, however, its insulation isn't at the level of wool; placing a thin felt pad underneath on a cold floor largely closes that gap.

Does a product labeled “cotton” contain other fibers?

Mostly, yes. Cotton is often blended with polyester or viscose; you'll see the ratio in the composition line on the product page, and you should base your care decisions on that ratio.
